1 When is the start date and end date of construction The last word Consecration is schedule in Jan 2025
2 How does the tax deductions work? With effect from year of assessment 2022, individuals and companies are allowed a deduction on the approved donation up to 101% of the aggregate income for the year of assessment.
3 What is the total budget required? It is estimated to cost RM 3.5 million.
4 Who is managing the project? Thirumurugan Temple Management Labuan T.
5 How are the funds managed? The funds in the bank account is managed by authorized signatories and will be made clear to all committee
6 What is the current status of the temple? 75% completed as at June 2024
7 How much have we obtained thus far? RM 2.3m as at June 2024
8 Can it be a consecutive donation or progressive? The donation can be made both consecutive and Progressive
9 I donated for the temple building before, am I still eligible for tax exemption? Yes you are eligible as long as the donation made between 1st December 2021 till 30th November 2024
10 Payment Mode/Donation Mode? Cash, cheque or online bank transfer
11 Payment receipts and legitimacy of donation Payment receipt will be provided by the management as proof of donation.
12 Who can I approach for clarifications regarding donation matters? You can make reference to LHDN for all taxation matters, Temple Committee for details of the project and Perbadanan Labuan for the authenticity of the project_
13 Is there a minimum amount to donate in order to be eligible for tax exemption? No minimum amount.
14 How long will it take for me to receive my tax exemption? It will be considered for the year of annual tax declaration.
15 Information needed for tax exemption for both corporate and individual Name of individual or company and NRIC number of individual or Company registration number
